Donor Application
There are two ways to give: the first is simply hitting the donate button and it will send you to PayPal for a $25.00 donation, the second is to read the information below and fill out a form. You can give what the law allows and you have the option of detailing how you want your money spent. Either way, I thank you.
According to data from the 2012 election, President Barack Obama received 65, 915, 796 total votes which were just over 51% of the votes cast for President. Now, in advertising we teach students and clients how to forecast the cost of a marketing strategy by breaking down the cost per consumer. We must ascertain which is cheaper: the cost to gain a consumer again and again, or the cost to gain the consumer and to retain them over a set period of time. The answer is always the same: it is cheaper to retain a consumer over a set period of time.
Now, if you use the same methodology for electoral politics and we set the cost per consumer (voter) at .25 cents we would find ourselves at 16, 478, 949.
That is, 65, 915, 796 x .25= 16, 478, 949.
That final number is not voter turnout nor is it vote totals. That final number is $16, 478, 949. That is money. If we assume that the victor in 2016 would get the same desired outcome as President Obama had in 2012 and we set the rate at .25 cents, then the campaign would need $16, 478, 949 to duplicate that outcome. And I must tell you, in advertising, especially clothing retail, the .25 cents is ridiculously small number. In clothing retail, the reach impression ratio can get as high as $10 to $12 dollars per new consumer.
Here is my donor application.
I understand the market device. I understand the current economy.
You give what you can. You give what you feel is right. You speak to the establishment with your wallet. That is all anyone can ask of anyone as a citizen of a Republic.
